A Local Guide for a More Informed Move

North Phoenix can look straightforward on a map, but its communities offer very different housing, amenities and day-to-day lifestyles. Fireside at Norterra, Union Park, Sonoran Foothills, Tramonto and Anthem each have their own character and tradeoffs.

I have lived and worked in this part of the Valley for nearly two decades. This guide brings together the local details relocation buyers usually need before narrowing their search, especially those moving for TSMC or another North Phoenix employer.

Where Are Norterra and 85085?

Norterra is the name commonly used for the North Phoenix area surrounding The Shops at Norterra and nearby communities along the I-17 corridor. It is not a separate city with fixed municipal boundaries.

ZIP code 85085 includes many of the area’s best-known communities, including Fireside at Norterra, Union Park at Norterra, Sonoran Foothills, Dynamite Mountain Ranch and Valley Vista. Tramonto and Anthem are farther north, primarily within 85086.

I-17 is the area’s main north-south route. Loop 101 provides access across the Valley to the south, while Loop 303 and the TSMC employment corridor are located to the north and northwest.

This gives relocation buyers a clear, direct geographic answer that search engines and AI tools can cite. Tell me when it’s added.
